POSITION TITLE:                  Special Education One-on-One  Paraprofessional

REPORTS TO:                         Building Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma
• At least one (1) of the following:
1. An associate’s degree (or higher); or at least 60 hours of college credit
2. Provide evidence of passing the Arkansas State Board of Education adopted Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Possess basic knowledge of technology and keyboarding to support student learning
• Demonstrate patience, initiative, and willingness to learn

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assisting students in achieving academic success.
• Helping students by providing behavioral support.
• Consulting and collaborating with the Special Education and General Education teachers.
• Support supervision of and monitor students throughout the school day. 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain confidentiality.
• Present and communicate in a professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or administration.
